The T-19031CP Comprehensive 2 Binocular Microscope from Ken-a-Vision is a four-objective binocular microscope designed for middle school and high school students. The microscope's Seidentopf viewing head design enables the interpupillary distance of the eyepieces to be adjusted using an intuitive push-pull hinge. Quick interpupillary adjustments complement the inclined viewing head's 360° rotation capability, which allows the view to be shared with others without having to move the microscope.
This model of the Comprehensive 2 microscope is configured with PLAN achromat DIN objectives that minimize image distortions and provide enhanced contrast for viewing unstained specimens. The included 100xS objective can be oil-immersed for improved light transmission, making this compound microscope easy to use yet feature-rich enough to employ advanced microscopy techniques.
In addition to the low position coaxial focus controls that deliver coarse and fine focus adjustments, the T-19031CP also includes tension adjustment and a rack stop that prevent accidental damage to the specimen and objective. The Vernier-scaled mechanical stage is illuminated from below using an energy-efficient LED light source that operates at a cool temperature and prolongs the life of the rechargeable battery. The Comprehensive 2 series microscope was built for reliable performance and is backed by the manufacturer's ten-year warranty.
