Westcott Scrim Jim is a strong, collapsible diffusion and reflector system. The 42 x 42" frame is made of light-weight aircraft aluminum. The kit includes a silver/white reversible, reflective fabric, and a 3/4-stop white diffusion fabric.
- Modular construction allows you to create three easy-to-handle frame sizes.
- The unique modular design allows for easy portability as well as quick set-up and take-down.
- Fabrics are of the highest quality and have Touch Fastener sewn around the perimeter for an even, taut and secure fit to the frame, even during periods of strong winds.

Portable and easy to set up.
But if you want to use a gel on it you might get in trouble because it seems to fall apart unless you use the velcro that is on the custom made scrims.
I would rely on it on outdoor on location shoots. For indoor studio use I think it would be good enough.
I guess I was hoping for this product to be good to use even without the custom made scrims.

I use this product almost all the time, in fact I dont know how I have gone so long without it! Its so versatile and with the silver and white reflector as well, it is multifuntional. I primarily use it for shading on bright sunny days, and the 2/3 stop scrim works so well. I would highly reccommend this product and think its great value for money
