These are great for keeping the Scrim Jim (and other things)in place. Be careful, you can tighten them too much. It won't hold the panel any better, just make it difficult to take off.

This is nice piece of work, easy to use and mounts really well on my stands. I use it for the large eight foot scrim. The only drawback if it even is a problem is that head is heavy. I don't think its a drawback.

If you have mafer clamps, that's more straightforward. With this, you also need Westcott's special clamp for the Scrim Jim frame.
