Overview
  • 1Description

The Pro8520HD DLP Projector from ViewSonic provides 1080p full HD resolution, and backs it up with 5000 ANSI lumens of brightness and an 8000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Thanks to Texas Instruments' DLP DMD (Digital Light Processor Digital Micromirror Device) imaging panel with BrilliantColor, your presentations and anything you show on screen will meet the challenge of ambient light and impress at theater light levels. Unlike other technologies such as LCD that use just three primary colors to produce the image, DLP technology with BrilliantColor uses up to seven separate colors. BrilliantColor not only improves color accuracy, it brightens secondary colors as well. This combination increases the brightness of the colors by up to 50 percent over DLP projectors without BrilliantColor for accurate, true-to-life images.

The Pro8520HD's wide connectivity includes HDMI, component, composite, S-video and audio jacks. Additionally the unit features USB type A, type B and mini-B for direct projection of media from a PC. The built-in 20W speakers suffice for most presentations if you're using the Pro8520HD for business or educational purposes, but you'll probably want to match this projector with a complete sound system. The Pro8520HD is also network capable thanks to its RJ-45 connection. You can control several projectors over your network if necessary.

All of this weighs less than 9 pounds (3.9kg), operates on a 100 to 240 VAC power supply and is compatible with NTSC, PAL and SECAM signals, making the Pro8520HD a true global traveler.

Projects In Any Venue
Packed with 5000 lumens and a dynamic contrast ratio of 8000:1, the Pro8520HD is guaranteed to project even in high ambient light environments
Full HD 1080p
The widescreen projector sports a full HD 1920 x 1080 (1080p) native resolution. Whether you are connecting your widescreen laptop or viewing 1080p HD content, you will see a distortion-free image with matching aspect ratio
BrilliantColor Technology
ViewSonic's Pro8520HD projector with BrilliantColor technology features multi-color processing to produce stunning, vibrant colors. Unlike other technologies such as LCD which use just 3 primary colors to produce the image, the Pro8520HD uses up to five separate colors. The 5-segment color wheel enhances the yellow color performance that is the key to accurate color reproduction
Wireless and Wired LAN Display
With its advanced network capability, the projector allows you to project up to four PCs at the same time with the ability to broadcast up to eight projectors. Optional wireless adapter, WPD-100, is required for a wireless display
Network Monitoring and Control
IT administrators can monitor, manage and schedule the projector remotely and receive alerts of projector status with integrated Crestron e-Control system and RoomView Express management software
Plug 'n Play USB Display
Project your presentations using a plug-and-play USB connection without running a VGA cable. This feature also enables automatic resolution detection
HDMI Digital Connectivity
Equipped with dual HDMI inputs, the projector connects to any HDMI-enabled device from PCs and media players to Blu-ray and DVD players
PC-Less JPG Slideshows
With the PC-less slideshow feature, you can use your pictures or images directly from a USB flash drive
Maintenance Free
ViewSonic's Pro8520HD projector features a filter-less design. Unlike LCD projectors that require periodic filter cleaning or replacement after so many hours, ViewSonic's Pro8520HD projector has no filter to clean or replace. This saves you dollars and labor over the projector's lifespan, and lowers your total cost of ownership (TCO)
Wide 1.5x Optical Zoom Lens
Equipped with a 1.5x optical zoom lens, the Pro8520HD provides wider throw distance range for mounting flexibility. This zoom lens also enables the projector to project images up to 40% larger than a conventional projector equipped with a 1.1x lens
