The EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II lens offers the focal range equivalent of a 28-90mm lens in the 35mm format and is an ideal day-to-day lens with wide-angle to short telephoto capabilities. An Image Stabilization system provides the lens with movement compensation for sharper images when shooting in low light and at longer focal lengths. Also included is the EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS II lens with an 88-400mm equivalency that offers telephoto and super-telephoto zoom capability. This length lens is used for portraits with nicely blurred backgrounds and for bringing distant objects close. It too utilizes Canon's Image Stabilization technology for clearer imaging at long focal lengths. Both lenses are designed to match the APS-C-size sensor of the Rebel T3, and combined, cover almost all shooting situations.
