The Zing Standard Zoom SLR Reversible Cover (Gray) is a one-piece, wrap-around neoprene cover that stretches over the lens and self-secures without buckles, snaps or zippers. The built-in leash clips to your camera strap to hang the cover while shooting. The extended flaps wrap around the lens with touch fastener material to secure the cover around the camera. The SLR cover is reversible to black. This cover will fit smaller SLRs and older models with a lens 3.5-7.0" (8.7-17.5cm) long.

Fit my camera snug. Material stretches well and would accomodate different camera shapes. Velcro is strong and reliable. You get protection from scratches and bumps while carrying the camera or setting it down, and without the bulk of a camera bag that fits less like a glove.
Note: You will not be able to leave a lens hood on the lens unless your lens and hood are substantially smaller than the lens cover portion of the Zing cover. A lens hood otherwised makes it quite difficult to fit a camera with an attached lens into the zing cover.
But if you are o.k. with leaving off a lens hood and a lack of pockets for accesories, the product is excellent.

Not only did the strap break the first time I used it, my new $900 camera and $400 lens crashed to the concrete floor and went flying across the room. I actually would like a replacement AND a refund. Hopefully the camera is not damaged long term - it seems to work but not sure if damage will show-up later. Very unhappy with what was a very cool product.

Comments about Zing Designs Standard SLR Zoom Cover (Gray):
Using a daypack for a camera bag works well for backcountry hiking and disguises a pack full of expensive lenses in more civilized settings, but it can place loose cameras and lenses in jeopardy. The Zing SLR zoom cover was an elegant solution, taking up little pack space while giving a snug layer of neoprene over delicate camera controls and glass. My Canon 60D and zoom are well protected with the Zing, but they also give me the ability to protect the camera outside of the pack, which I occasionally do when hiking. I took a few tumbles on a recent backcountry hike, and my camera and zoom survived just fine. It takes more than a few seconds to unsheathe the camera when one needs to use it, and it is not a waterproof case, but it performs exactly as expected. A larger lens with a lens shade in the stored position will fit fine, but the tight fit requires a few extra seconds to remove the cover.

I use this case when I have to be around and about and need to travel light in dangerous situations, when I want to be with others who don't want to wait for my camera case and it does an excellent job of protecting my investment. I highly recommend this to anyone!

Comments about Zing Designs Standard SLR Zoom Cover (Gray):
I bought this SLR zoom cover when I went on a trip to Alaska this May. It is the first time that I had brought my SLR on a trip, I usually just use a point and shoot but I was very happy with this product. It gets used to getting your camera in and out of but once you did it a couple of times it really works well. I didn't want to have to carry around a clunky large camera bag and this worked perfectly, I just stuck it in my back pack and off I went. Protected my camera perfectly. I am glad Ii bought this product because I wasn't going to at first.

I use this case as my everyday means of protection, although will use something more stout if warranted. It's lightweight and easy to slip on and off.

Comments about Zing Designs Standard SLR Zoom Cover (Gray):
I have the standard SLR cover and really like it. The design is a bit different with the zoom cover, and I find it a little cumbersome. Also, extra velcro catches on things. I wish they made one sized in between the standard SLR and standard SLR Zoom, as the Zoom cover is quite big on my Kx and 50-200mm lens.

Comments about Zing Designs Standard SLR Zoom Cover (Gray):
I went to B&H looking for a sort of a camera glove for my digital SLR so that I can feel comfortable putting my camera in a tote bag without feeling that it will get scratched up or too bounced around. (I have a proper camera bag for home storage, but it would be much too much to carry around with on a regular basis.) [...] I LOVE that it is reversible. It can be black when I want it to be inconspicuous, but it can be grey when I want to be able to see it easily in a bag full of other things.

Gives a snug fit on my D80 with the 55-200 attatched, but is a bit small for the 70-300. Does a great job of protecting the camera from bumps and dirt.
