The gloss black R.A.T. 9 Wireless Gaming Mouse for PC and Mac from Mad Catz is a customizable gaming mouse designed for use with Windows and Mac computers. The mouse features 2.4GHz wireless connectivity for a cord-free gaming experience. The thumb length and width can be adjusted for comfortable mousing for different sized hands and grip styles. The thumb panel can move forwards, backwards and pivot outward for optimal positioning.
At the heart of the mouse is a 6400dpi twin-eye laser sensor that reads each axis separately and tracks up to 236" per second. There are six programmable buttons including the scroll wheel, which can be programmed to execute macros or key commands. One of these is the Precision Aim button, which allows you to adjust the sensitivity and assign programmable features with the included software.
A total of seven weights are included with the mouse so that you can customize the feel of the mouse, using as many or as few as you desire. A container is also included for storage of the weights when you're not using them, which fits into the charging dock. For additional customization, the mouse includes three interchangeable pinkie grips and three palm rests.
By downloading the included programming software, you can adjust the dpi sensitivity from 25 to 6400, and a dedicated button allows you to cycle through your custom settings. The software allows you to adjust the sensitivity and make up an unlimited number of profiles. For each profile, you can set 18 user-definable commands using six programmable buttons over three modes.
The mouse is powered by a single rechargeable lithium-ion battery (two are included so you can get started right away). One powers the mouse while the other charges in the included dock and can be switched out as required.
