Its a cable, but make sure you get this cable if you buy the Jackrabbit for a Canon flash.

This cable also works for the 550EX and 580EX flashes. Not sure why they haven't updated the labeling of this product. I'm using with both of these flashes. Works great. Make sure you have batteries in your flash at the same time you are using a Jackrabbit pack or else it won't work. I can now shoot continuous at f11 without missing a frame.
