The Sony 40" KDL-40R450A R450 Series LED HDTV is a Full HD 1080p LCD TV with Direct LED backlight technology, which enhances contrast and reproduces images with sharp clarity. Live Color technology is also employed to emphasize vividness of color. Plus, with the Motionflow XR 120, fast-paced action movies and sports are blur-free and more natural looking. Other video features include an Advanced Contrast Enhancer (ACE), Digital Noise Reduction and 24P True Cinema.
The TV's audio features are equally impressive. With support for Dolby Digital and Simulated Surround, your audio will be as high-quality as the HD video. Plus, you can even output audio via digital coaxial connection to your AV receiver for true surround sound from your home theater speakers. The TV's connectivity options include HDMI, component, USB 2.0 and more.
This model also features BRAVIA Sync, which permits all compatible devices to communicate with each other and activate with a single macro-type command from the included remote control. The TV supports MHL as well, which allows you to connect your smartphone to the TV with a single cable. Once connected, you can mirror your smartphone media on the TV's big 1920 x 1080 screen. It will also allow you to browse the web and charge your smartphone.
