Additionally, this lens features a minimum focus distance of just 9.8" and a magnification of 0.34x to better support shooting close-up subjects.

Smooth Autofocus Motor
The SAM system within the lens provides smooth and quiet auto focusing performance that ideally suits HD video recording and other applications where focus speed and precision are necessary. The AF motor is incorporated within the lens itself and receives AF drive controls directly from the camera body for higher accuracy and more fluid focusing.
