Strum Electric GS-1 from Applied Acoustics Systems is a guitar simulator plug-in that offers electric guitar sounds, a chord bank and a variety of playing techniques and articulations. It is compatible with Mac and Windows and will run within your VST, AU or RTAS compatible host or standalone.

Strum Electric GS-1 features a selection of single coil and humbucker fitted classic guitars sounds. It also features a 2-channel amp simulator with spring reverb, a speaker cabinet, and built-in effects. All of these elements are used in combination with one another throughout the software's preset library, which is designed to accommodate a variety of different musical styles and genres.

In addition, the software features a bank of playing techniques that allow you to add electric guitar-style articulations to your performances such as down and up-strokes, slides, bends, hammer-ons, pull-offs, palm muting, muffled strings, and arpeggios. It also employs a chord library that contains basic and extended chords available in many voicings such as open, movable, dropped tunings, or power chords. This allows you to create guitar-style chord voicings even if you aren't a guitarist.
