Comments about Beyerdynamic DT 150 Headphone:
I bought the DT-150 for recording in studio situations for their good isolation. Mostly for vocals but will use for everything especially live recording when recording demos in the same room as a drummer.
my first impression out of the box was that they were uglier than i thought they would be. i like the look, sorta have that vintage look to them which i dig about them, but yea not the best looking cans..These headphones sound really nice, very very clear with good isolation for recording drums or vocals. I would give them a 5/5 for sound.
Now I have given them a 4 because of comfort. If i had to choose a pair of headphones again, this would be the only reason I would find something else. I have to adjust these often to sit correctly on my head, and they dont always feel like they are centered.
i would say they are better suited for people in the industry, who want strong headphones that will last a long time, they are great quality and will stand the test of time, which ofcourse they are made for these applications. they do sound excellent. But, i would try a pair of DT770's if i was looking for a set of closed cans, because the DT-150's get a bit annoying to wear comfort wise and are pretty heavy. but over all i dont feel like i have wasted money on these, they will be used alot and do exaclty what i bought them to do. 4/5.
thanks B&H!
