The ATM-PRB is an automatic "smart" battery charger. Designed to automatically stop the charge cycle once the battery is fully charged. The ATM-PRB will charge the Bescor PRB series battery belts and shoulder packs.

The automatic charger is, in my opinion, a must have for Bescor's battery packs. It does, however, take a while to fully charge (around 10-13 hours after full usage). Having the automatic shut off feature is extremely useful, especially considering the long charging time, because one can simply plug it in at night and leave it to charge, without worrying about overcharging, or explosions, etc... All in all a good buy, very easy to use.

This charger blew the fuse on my battery the first time I tried it and on top of that the cheap thin plastic thread on the cigarette lighter plug broke when I unplugged it from the battery. [...] according to Bescor the new ATM-PRU should take care of the problem but I already got it and it did blow the fuse once again, and the cheap plug is still the same although I managed this time not to break it when I pulled it off, they asked me to send it to them so they can send me a working copy, their batteries are great but the chargers are very cheap and definately not for professionals. I'll post the results when I get a new copy from Bescor.

This charger blew the fuse on my battery the first time I tried it and on top of that the cheap thin plastic thread on the cigarette lighter plug broke when I unplugged it from the battery. I only had owned one of these. Great product for lead acid packs. I have another charger but it does not have the auto shut-off / trickle charge, so you have to make sure you unplug it or risk exploding pack. This is a must have for lead acid packs.

This charger is a must buy for any bescor light. In the long run over charging your battery is bad so this charger will charge your battery perfectly by shutting off when its charged. It is a little pricey but if you have the money you should buy it. Its cheaper then buying a new battery because you overcharged it.
