I use this to extend my NEX-5N with various E-Mount lenses to be able to do close-up macro shots (flowers, insect, etc.) without the cost and bulk of adding another lens to my kit. It works reasonably well - significantly reduces the minimum focus distance so you can use the full capabilities of the camera (auto/manual focus etc.) with higher magnifications. The lens is not perfect - there is a little chromatic aberration (CA) in some cases, and it narrows DOF significantly so you need to minimize the aperture to compensate, but overall it's a useful tool.
