The black IF-PX POE Interface and Power Extractor from Louroe Electronics is a single-zone POE in-line interface designed to extract power from an Ethernet connection in order to power Louroe microphones, speaker/microphones, and other external devices such as encoders and Non-PoE IP cameras, those require a 12VDC power supply. This unit supports both 1-way and 2-way audio. It is compatible with most commercial-grade, line level, unbalanced microphones. The audio output features variable gain control.

The POE Interface and Power Extractor features terminal blocks which are employed to receive signal wiring from a Louroe Verifact microphone or an AOP-SP speaker/microphone. It supports both Mode A and Mode B power options of IEEE802.3af. The 2 included 0.13” (3.5mm) stereo male to 0.13” (3.5mm) stereo male audio cables are used to connect the unit to an IP camera or an encoder. Outputs for both PoE (power + data) and non-PoE (data only) cameras and encoders are also included.

This IF-PX POE interface and power extractor also features built-in thermal, overload, and short-circuit protection that guards the unit from over-current and over temperature. In such cases, the unit shuts down and later turns back on after the fault is repaired.

The IF-PX is supplied with 6’ (1.82m) audio cables for connections between the IF-PX and the camera. The maximum distance between the IP camera and the PSE is 328.08’ (100m). Do not connect non-PoE complaint devices to Power + Data Output Jack. It may damage the powered equipment. Do not connect wiring from external microphone or AOP-SP to the speaker/microphone audio terminal block until all the Ethernet cables are connected and power is present to the camera. If failed to do so, the camera may not receive power. The IF-PX can power most IP cameras and encoders. Check that the power requirements of the equipment do not go beyond the IF-PX power output.

Note! When this equipment is used as a part of an audio monitoring system, the law requires that public be given notice of audio monitoring on the premises. A decal stating AUDIO MONITORING ON THESE PREMISES (provided by Louroe Electronics) must be displayed in a visible location at the entrances and exits of both private and public buildings and vehicles.
