The B&W 40.5mm Infrared Dark Red (092 = 89B) Filter is nearly opaque. It looks dark purplish/red when held in front of a light source and blocks visible light up to 650nm. It passes only 50% of the radiation just below 700nm (thus the dark red color).

Comments about B+W 40.5mm Infrared Dark Red 092 Filter:
The quality of the product is great.
but the in-stuck information is not always up-to-date. Because of this reason I got one of my orders after 2 months. But mostly on-time.

Comments about B+W 40.5mm Infrared Dark Red 092 Filter:
Nice filter, its not as dark as my R72 (but very close), so it allows slightly more light to pass through (this is not necessarily a bad thing as it helps add more artificial color which can be very artistic). The R72 is the Hoya comparable filter, so if you use the R72 note that this one allows slightly more visible red through.
It fits the lense of my IR modded Olympus C-5060 without the bayonet adapter (saves space when traveling).
