The red EQBMCC Blackmagic Underwater Housing with Lens Port from Equinox Housings is used with the Blackmagic Cinema Camera. The housing allows access to all camera functionalities while shooting underwater. It offers up to 17 manual controls including manual focus and zoom / iris depending on the lens used. This also includes controls on the camera’s LCD screen.
The EQBMCC Housing can be used to adjust manual focus, which is just as easy as using the camera when out of water. Because of the housing design, there is no need to use additional ports for the housing.
The underwater housing comes with a spare parts kit and a 6" (152.4mm) dome port that will fit the Canon 16-35mm f/2.8 USM II or other lenses of similar size. It is also compatible with a flat port (sold separately) for macro shooting.
The housing uses a ballast-release system as a safety feature for the diver. If trouble were to occur while underwater simply pull the quick release pin on the housing’s handle. This will cause the housing to become positively buoyant and rise to the surface. This feature also enables easy transportation.
