The black 7890BD Manual Focus, Video, Image Orientation Vision Viewer from Ken-A-Vision is suitable for science related use. It offers manual focus so you can decide what elements are in focus. It is an easy to use and reliable solution for any presentation need, be it in the classroom or conference room. The images captured by the camera will be transmitted directly to your TV / monitor, projector, or VCR.
The Vision Viewer includes a 1.1” (28mm) microscope eyepiece adapter that allows your camera to be used with a microscope or other optical device, which has an eyepiece. The included 28mm adapter will fit most compound microscopes, but not stereo (dissecting) microscopes unless they have an unusually small outer diameter.
The focusing ring located on the camera head is a rubber-knurled focusing system with a 6mm lens. Simply turn the focusing ring until you have obtained a clear, focused image.
The Vision Viewer operates using ambient, room light. If using the camera in a severely darkened room, supplement the light entering the camera by using a penlight, flashlight or small lamp near the camera, so there is more local input light for the camera to work with.
Note: Before installing the microscope eyepiece adapter, measure the size of the outside diameter of the microscope eyepiece to be sure the adapter will fit over the end of the eyepiece. Remove the rubber eyecup if present.
The lens is permanently attached and should not be removed. Use care when reaching the optimal focal distance, do not use force, and avoid turning the focus ring to extremes in either direction.
Subjecting the camera eye to direct sunlight will discolor the filter over the CMOS chip causing abnormal colors and or permanent focusing problems.
