Measuring 0.70" thin and weighing just 2.97 pounds, the Toshiba KIRAbook embodies the very definition of an Ultrabook. The Toshiba KIRAbook also features a stabilizing hinge to minimize screen movement while you're using the KIRAbook.
One of the most notable features of the Toshiba KIRAbook is its screen. The 13.3" PixelPure LED-backlit display has a large 2560 x 1440 native resolution, resulting in 221 pixels per inch (ppi). The display is also a capacitive touchscreen with 10-point touch support so you'll be able to utilize all the multi-touch gestures incorporated into Windows 8. Norton Internet Security scans your KIRAbook to identify and eliminate online threats. Norton Anti-Theft provides locates, tracks and locks your KIRAbook in the event it is stolen. Norton Online Backup automatically backs up your important files to Norton's secured online data centers.
The system is powered by a dual-core Ivy Bridge 1.8GHz Intel Core i5-3337U processor. It also has 8GB of 1600MHz DDR3 RAM, a 256GB solid state drive, a multi-format media card reader, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Intel Wireless Display (WiDi), an integrated webcam and microphone. There are also built-in harman/kardon stereo speakers with DTS Studio Sound technology.
