The Solid State Logic 726915X1B Alpha-Link MX Bundle comes with an XLogic Alpha-Link MX Converter with 16 Inputs and 4 Outputs, and a MadiXtreme 64 PCIe Audio Card.

The XLogic Alpha-Link MX Converter with 16 Inputs and 4 Outputs features SSL A-D/D-A converters that deliver SSL audio quality in an affordable format for the serious project studio. The SSL converters build on the reputation of the highly respected larger Alpha-Link SX and AX models, which are used in leading commercial recording facilities across the world alongside SSL's AWS and Duality consoles.

The Alpha-Link MX range consists of 2 different 1 U units that can be used individually or combined to create larger systems. Each unit features a 64-channel digital audio input / output via Fibre Optic MADI input / output connections, which can be used to connect to any suitably equipped MADI device including SSL's own MadiXtreme, MX4, and Delta-Link computer audio interfaces, or to cascade multiple MX units.

The Alpha-Link MX 16-4 has 16 analog inputs and 4 analog outputs, making it a suitable 16 channel capture device with 4 outputs for artist and studio monitoring. Up to 4 MX units can be cascaded in any combination in a daisy chain. In this way, a system with up to 80 analog connections, which are routable to a single 64-channel MADI input / output connection, can be created.

The MX unit has a switchable reference level to enable matching with the rest of your studio system, with a range of settings between +24 dB and +14 dB. The Alpha-Link MX unit is configured via a set of simple, intuitive front panel controls with status indicator LEDs providing clear status and level information.

MadiXtreme 64 is a PCIe audio card for Mac and PC offering a 64-channel digital audio interfaces using Fibre Optic MADI. MadiXtreme delivers digital audio input and output for the DAW, console, or router via convenient and lossless optical MADI and is suitable for SSL’s Alpha-Link audio converters.

Featuring the revolutionary PCIe-Core Audio Pipeline technology, MadiXtreme 64 takes full advantage of the high speeds and incredible bandwidth offered by the PCIe bus on modern computers. The drivers are fully multi-client capable (allowing several applications to simultaneously access the device) and allow multiple cards per system.

With one optical MADI connector for 64 simultaneous I/Os, the MADIXtreme 64 is suitable for the SSL Alpha-Link MADI AX or SSL Alpha-Link MADI SX. MADIXtreme 64 is also suitable for MADI equipped consoles, live recording, installations, and broadcast servers.
