The ProScope HR2 from Bodelin is a handheld digital microscope that comes with a 30x lens that has polarized LEDs for enhanced contrast when viewing highly reflective specimens like metallic rock samples and living tissue. This Mac and Windows-compatible digital microscope is bus-powered via the computer's USB 2.0 port. The HR2 features a 2MP image sensor capable of recording video and capturing photos at 1600x1200 resolution. To assist image capture, dedicated photo, video, and time lapse buttons on the handheld microscope enable the operator to capture media at the push of a button.

Pre-loaded on the ProScope HR2 is UVC plug-and-play software that allows the operator to view live video, analyze and manipulate captured images using compatible Mac and Windows operating systems. Enhancing the functionality of the ProScope HR2 is its online capability that allows the microscope's transmitted image to be viewed online with Skype and iChat; the HR2 can also be used with conventional microscopes and Bodelin borescopes using adapters (sold separately).
