The AMT P800i Trumpet and Flugelhorn Microphone System comes complete with the Inline preamp, a carry pouch, and AMT’s disconnecting cable technology to allow the microphone to be used wireless with the AMT Wi5IIC, Shure, Line 6, or Sabine Wireless (sold separately). The Sennheiser cable is sold separately.
The P800i Trumpet and Flugelhorn Microphone System is intended to clamp onto the bell, the trumpet, or flugelhorn. It is suitable for brass players looking for an off-the-bell mounting system or requiring a microphone that can withstand high SPL levels that a trumpet is capable of producing. The P800i is a good choice for soft to loud music for a principal artist, ensemble setting, or a soloist. The microphone is suspended in a 4-point isolation ring reducing key and handling noise.
The microphone is suited for the professionals looking for natural sound reproduction from a clip-on microphone. It features D.C.T. (Disconnect Cable Technology), which allows the user to connect the Wi5IIC (sold separately), or to other major brand wireless systems, thereby creating a belt pack free wireless system. With a change of cable (sold separately) you can convert a P800i Microphone from a wired to a wireless setup.
The P800i Trumpet Microphone System is specifically designed to handle the highest SPL levels that a trumpet can reproduce. The element, somewhere in size between a small and large diaphragm, is handmade by AMT and larger than AMT’s standard size elements. The P800i Microphone System allows for even loud trumpet players to use the microphone.
The microphone mounts with a specially designed clamp to the lead pipe of the trumpet or flugelhorn. It is compatible with the AMT’s off-the-bell mounting system designed for the players who want an alternative to a bell mounting system. Additional clamps (sold separately) can be used in order to quickly move the microphone from horn to horn.
