The Audix M44HC Miniaturize Condenser Microphone with Hypercardioid Capsule is designed for close micing instruments such as drums, percussion, brass, and vocals in the studio and in live recording situations. The microphone comes with 0.47" (12mm) gold-vapor diaphragm within a modular threaded capsule with a hypercardioid polar pattern which helps reduce feedback and improve isolation. The unit features an integrated pre-amplifier circuit which requires 18 to 52 VDC phantom powering with a nominal impedance of 150Ω at 1 kHz, a sensitivity of 3 mV/Pa at 1 kHz, a frequency response of 50 to 19,000 Hz, and a maximum SPL of over 150 dB with a THD of 0.5%
The microphone comes with a 25' mini XLR female XLR male cable, a DCLAMP-Micro lug mount clip for hand percussion instruments, a DVICE-Micro Tension Goose-Neck clip with Shockmount Ring, a WS10 external foam windscreen, and a P1 zippered cordura carrying pouch.
Note: If phantom power is not available on your equipment, you will have to procure a phantom power supply (such as the Audix APS2 2-Channel Phantom Power Supply). You should avoid plugging or unplugging the microphone from a PA system unless the channel is muted or the volume of the system turned down. Failure to do so may result in a loud popping noise which could damage the speakers in the PA system.
