The 84” MICROBOOM84 with M1255BHC Hypercardioid Microphone from Audix is made from a carbon fiber rod. The MICROBOOM84 can be used with a choice of capsules in the Micros series, thereby offering a broad choice of pick-up patterns and frequency response. A high-quality shielded cable is internally used to ensure a clean audio signal path between the microphone and the bottom of the boom, which terminates in a mini-XLR male connector.
The stand adapter designed for the boom system allows total control over the angle, rotation, and positioning of the carbon fiber rod. A metal thumbscrew locks the rod firmly in place. The final angle and position of the microphone is controlled by using the flexible metal gooseneck located just below the microphone. Thus, this boom system provides a clean, professional, and elegant appearance on stage, while providing high performance and portability. It is useful in applications like choirs, ensemble vocals, theatres, orchestral zone miking, location recordings, presentations, and conference rooms.
