The Coolpix S1 uses intelligent technology to help ensure a balanced exposure, sharp images and much more. Nikon's exclusive D-Lighting function automatically compensates for insufficient flash or excessive back lighting, Blur Warning alerts the user when a shot is compromised by camera or hand shake, allowing another shot to be taken before leaving the scene, and Nikon's renowned In-Camera Red-Eye Fix technology, which detects and corrects red eyes in most typical situations without the need to press buttons or the hassle of additional software. Add to this 17 Scene modes, 4 of which offer Scene Assist, and you'll have the easiest and most pleasant photo experience possible - you'll only be limited by your imagination.

• Exclusive Nikon In-Camera Red-Eye Fix and D-Lighting Features: The in-camera red-eye fix automatically fixes most instances of red-eye in the camera so you may never see red eyes again, and the D-Lighting Feature automatically brightens the dark areas in the picture when in playback mode. Add to that the in-camera cropping feature and Direct printing Capability and you may never need to edit pictures on a computer again!

• Exclusive Face Priority AF: Imagine a camera smart enough to find a face in a portrait shot. Nikon's Face Priority AF function can do just that when selected through the Portrait Scene Mode. As its name suggests, Face Priority AF ensures that faces remain in focus when shooting portraits by automatically sensing the presence of a human face within the frame and setting accurate focus accordingly.

• 5 Color Shooting Options: Creative Shooting Color Options allow you to select from standard color, vivid color, black & white, sepia and cool modes.

• Take Great Close-Up Pictures: The Nikon Coolpix S1 provides an extremely tight macro capability with the ability to focus as close as 1.6 inches from your subject.

• Movie Mode: With sound at 15 frames per second at a length that is only limited by the available space on the internal memory or your SD memory card.

• Long Battery Life: Shoot up to 200 images on single charge of the included Nikon EN-EL8 lithium-ion rechargeable battery.

• Coolstation MV-11 Cradle: Included with the camera, the Coolstation MV-11 Cradle automatically charges the camera in the cradle as well as provides a USB port to download images. The cradle also provides One Touch Upload to your computer - just touch the TRANSFER button once to upload images to your computer using the supplied PictureProject software.

• Adjustable Interface: With a redesigned graphic user interface (GUI), the S1 user can navigate functions by either a traditional menu item list or use an icon view. Now the camera enables the total beginner to find the right mode at the right moment to achieve the best results, time after time. Add the In-Camera Help button which instantly displays an explanation for all the functions within all menus, and anyone can just pick up the camera and shoot like a pro.

• Print Directly From Your Camera: You can send images directly to print, without the need of a PC, when using PictBridge and USB Direct Print compatible printers.

• PictureProject In Touch Software: PictureProject In Touch software, included with PictureProject, lets you share your photos with friends and family quickly and easily without going to a website or attaching them to e-mails.
