Construction

Durable, injection-molded clear polycarbonate case, known for its strength and corrosion-free properties, featuring slightly positive buoyancy in fresh water. Mechanical controls offer full access to all camera functions except the Mode switch, and are depth rated to 200' (60 m). Standard flat port included. Two 12-24 threaded mounts on the bottom of the housing allow for the secure attachment of optional trays and lighting accessories.

Included Flash Diffuser

Improves lighting quality when the camera's built-in flash is used. A built-in flash is effective from 1.0 - 3.0' (0.3 - 0.9 m) away from your subject in clear conditions. To achieve the best results, an external underwater strobe is recommended.

Other Included Supplies

1cc tube of silicone lubricant, a flash deflector, a vinyl port cover and a break-away lanyard.

Tray with Release Handles

Optional Tray with Release Handle(s) (not included) provides comfortable handling underwater and attachment points for substrobes and accessories. See Trays with Release Handles.

External Underwater Strobes

Bring out the natural color of your subject and reduce the illumination of particles suspended in the water, known as backscatter. An optional Ikelite AutoFlash AF35 can provide additional light with easy automatic exposure. You may also use an optional DS Substrobe with EV Manual Controller for more power and wider angle of coverage (strobes not included). See All recommended strobe systems.

Color Correction Filters

Great for helping to restore natural color underwater, they replace some of the reds, oranges and more natural tones that would otherwise be lost. Effective in relatively shallow, sunny conditions. Optional #6441.41 and #6441.81 filters available for tropical blue water and green water, respectively (not included). For best results, use filters in combination with manual white balance.

Wide-Angle Lenses

An external wide angle conversion lens increases angle of coverage, allowing you to get much closer to your subject while still fitting everything in-frame. By reducing the amount of water between subject and lens, you get a much more crisp and colorful image. Attach 67 mm threaded #6420 Ikelite W-20 and other lenses directly to the front of the port. Not compatible with bayonet-style accessory lenses. Moderate vignetting (shading in corners) will be present in widest setting when using external accessory lens. Effect can be eliminated by zooming in slightly (lenses not included).

Video Light

Housing allows for attachment of the optional Pro-V8 LED video light (not included). This light is great when using the camera's movie mode and for aiding in focus. Use it with or without a color filter.
