Apogee Electronics Ensemble 30 x 34 Thunderbolt Audio Interface
Boasting a total of 30 x 34 I/O, this refresh of Apogee’s popular Ensemble audio interface sees a complete redesign, starting with Thunderbolt 2 connectivity, upgraded analog-to-digital converters, and eight dynamically optimized mic preamps with 75 dB of available gain and true bypass for connecting line level sources. Thanks to its Thunderbolt drivers (written specifically for Mac OS X Mavericks), the Ensemble provides an incredibly low, 1.1 ms round-trip latency. This low-latency spec allows you to monitor through your DAW, even with most plug-ins enabled. Two channels of front-panel guitar I/O allow you to re-amp your guitar signals, or send signal to stomp boxes for effects, without the need for additional re-amping hardware.
The interface also provides a built-in talkback microphone as well as two front-panel headphone outputs with independent volume control. For ease in integrating your outboard gear, the Ensemble gives you two analog inserts. The analog I/O is expandable via a variety of digital connectivity options, including ADAT, SMUX, and S/PDIF optical and coaxial. The Direct Memory Access Engine was designed from the ground up to read and write data directly to your Mac’s memory, so as not to tax your CPU, resulting in efficient performance.
