NAMM 2015: Lindell Audio New Product Lineup

Share

Lindell Audio, the studio equipment manufacturer founded by record producer Tobias Lindell, has announced a new range of products for NAMM 2015. The new product line consists of a 500-series Stereo Compressor, a 500-series Pultec MEQ-5 style equalizer, the EVO-6 Microphone Preamplifier, as well as the new software plug-in range.

The 77X-500 is a stereo compressor with all of the same features that are found in the 7X-500 compressor module, with the addition of attack and release knobs. Using the module’s internal battery supply, the unit can be run linked or unlinked. All of the FET transistors in the unit are matched to provide superior stereo control.

The MID-500 is a classic passive equalizer based on the filters found in the Pultec MEQ-5. It is a completely discrete design and uses hand-wound transformers, inductors, capacitors, and transistors to achieve a classic sound.

The EVO-6 is a discrete microphone preamplifier with hand-wound transformers and inductors. To achieve vintage tonality, it features vintage 1731 operational amplifiers. The onboard tone controls use passive Pultec filters to achieve a smooth, classic sound. Visual feedback is provided by a 30-segment LED VU meter.

Lindell is also showing off its new line of software plug-ins. The three software plug-ins are available à la carte or bundled together as the Channel X Super Channel, and are modeled after the 500-series Hardware 6X-500 (1176 Styled FET Compressor), 7X-500 (Pultec Styled EQ), and PEX-500 Analog (Classic Microphone Preamplifier) Processors. They are available in RTAS/AAX/VST and AU formats in both 32- and 64-bit architecture.
