NAMM 2015: The New Midas M32R Small-Format Mixer

Share

Midas is unveiling its newest small-format mixer, the M32R, a 40-input digital mixing console that is designed for live performance, and live and studio recording. Housed in a high-performance aluminum and high-impact steel chassis, this console is designed to be both lightweight and durable. The mixer features 16 mic inputs, with Midas preamplifiers, borrowed from the Midas XL4 and Heritage 3000 consoles.

In addition, the console features 25 time-aligned and phase-coherent mix buses and is fitted with 17 motorized 100mm faders that are rated for 1 million life cycles. The M32R includes up to 16 built-in effects modeled after classic audio hardware, including the Urei 1176, Teletronix LA-2A, and Fairchild 670 compressors, as well as Pultec EQP-1A and EQ5 equalizers. Additional features include an integrated 32 x 32 channel audio interface via USB 2.0 with 192 kHz converters, 8 DCA groups, 6 mute groups, a 5" daylight viewable TFT display, and networking capabilities that expand the system to 96 inputs and outputs.
