The newest title holder for the world’s thinnest camera with a 28mm wide-angle lens is Canon’s PowerShot ELPH 510 HS, which in addition to its 28 to 336mm equivalent zoom lens, features a 12.1MP CMOS sensor, a DIGIC 4 image processor and a wide, 3.2" touch-panel LCD with a Touch-shutter mode that allows you to fire the shutter by tapping on the screen.

Along with high-fidelity still images, the PowerShot ELPH 510 HS features full HD 1080p one-touch video with stereo sound, a High-Speed Burst Mode, ISO 3200 capability and an Intelligent IS system that automatically matches the level of image stabilization to the scene you are shooting.

Additional features found on the Canon PowerShot ELPH 510 HS include an improved Smart AUTO mode that automatically chooses among 32 built-in scene modes to ensure top-shelf results under any number of shooting conditions, and a Movie Digest Mode that records a quick video before each still shot and combines them into a short video diary of your day’s adventures.

The Canon PowerShot ELPH 510 HS is available in a choice of red, black or silver.
