Unveiled: New HP DreamColor Displays

HP announced two new DreamColor displays today that once again see HP bringing to market critical color accuracy for digital artists, photographers, and videographers—the HP Z27x and HP Z24x displays for PCs and Macs. They provide up to 1.07 billion on-screen colors, giving them a color-correction error margin so small that it is not discernible by the human eye.

LiveGrade PRO Color Look management system gets a Version 2 update with some useful new features for on-set color grading.

The LivePro App adds remote control of the LiveGrade software using a compatible iOS smartphone or tablet, allowing you to turn on false color, apply grades from the library, or bypass the grading.

Atomos, creator of the popular Ninja and Samurai external monitors/recorders, has announced a new 4K-capable model will be joining their lineup: the Shogun. As the world’s first 12G-SDI and 4K HDMI monitor/recorder, it is uniquely positioned to take advantage of the 4K HDMI output signal from cameras such as the Panasonic GH4 and newly announced Sony a7S. Unveiled: Fujifilm FUJINON ZX 12 x 25 25-300mm Cine Lens

Fujifilm has announced a new high-zoom ratio cine lens, the FUJINON ZK 12x25, geared for 4K digital cinema cameras with Super 35-sized sensors. The lens is equipped with a PL mount and offers an impressive 12x zoom range, which covers focal lengths from 25 to 300mm. The lens will be released in late June, 2014.

From the NAB show floor, DJI announced the latest addition to its extremely popular Phantom quadcopter line: the Phantom 2 Vision+. What's new and exciting about the Phantom 2 Vision+? Most notably, the camera. It features a gimbal-stabilized, 14-megapixel camera that shoots Adobe DNG RAW and is capable of recording 1080p video at 30 frames per second, as well as 720p at 60 frames per second to help you produce sharp, clean, slow-motion footage.
