Western Digital has added a new model to its line of media players called the WD TV Live Plus HD Media Player, that does something its other models don't do: it supports Netflix movie streaming. With the Live Plus, B&H now offers a dozen products including media receivers, Blu-ray Disc players, DVRs and HDTV sets that stream Netflix movies and TV shows directly to your home theater instead of a computer.
Having been generally unimpressed by home 3D TV products that have come and gone over the last dozen years, I was more than a little skeptical when the chatter from this year's Consumer Electronics Show was mainly about 3D TV. So, I wasn't expecting much when I visited the Samsung Experience at Columbus Circle in early April to check out a range of 3D TV products.
While Samsung's trio of 3D Blu-ray Disc players awaits your first 3D TV, they connect to the Internet now for streaming loads of entertainment. They play regular Blu-ray discs and CDs, too. Did we mention that when they play your DVDs, they upconvert pictures for the best possible display on your HDTV?
