Although not exactly a curse, long time professional photographer Bob Straus doesn’t see it that way. Rather, he gently suggests, it makes us less creative because we don’t give enough thought to what we are doing. His advice is to shoot digitally with a film mindset.

While this is generally true, it should not necessarily imply that an intermediate camera is unable to produce images similar in quality to professional cameras, or that it cannot be used to its maximum potential by a novice photographer.
