Blackmagic Design Announces New Cameras: ATEM 4K and More

Blackmagic Design announced two new digital cinema cameras at NAB 2013, the Blackmagic Production Camera 4K and the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera. These new models will join the current Blackmagic Cinema Camera, which was itself announced last year at NAB 2012. The Production Camera 4K will be the first of Blackmagic Design’s new Ultra HD product line.

Sony SxS PRO+ Memory Cards for 4K Recording

Sony has recently released their new SxS PRO+ memory cards. The new cards are optimized to accommodate Sony’s F5 and F55 CineAlta 4K cameras. SxS PRO+ cards support maximum write speeds of 1.5 Gbps, which enables reliable, high frame rate 4K capture. The new cards are available in 64GB or 128GB capacities.

Canon has announced two new zoom lenses in its Cinema Lenses family: The CN-E15.5-47 mm T2.8 L S/SP wide-angle cinema zoom lens (available in EF and PL mount versions) and The CN-E30-105 mm T2.8 L S/SP telephoto cinema zoom lens (also available in EF and PL mount versions).
