Hands-On Review: the Nikon D5300

I shoot primarily with a D7000, which isn’t a huge camera, but the Nikon D5300 seems significantly smaller; it's a comfortable camera that felt great in my hands. When you’re accustomed to handling a camera body daily, size differences are readily apparent—in fact, the first thing you notice about the D5300 is its size. It’s smaller and lighter than its predecessor, the D5200.

Hands-On Review: Canon EOS 6D DSLR

The Canon EOS 6D is the least expensive full-frame DSLR in Canon's current lineup. Despite the relative affordability of the rig, the 6D has plenty of features that compare well with those of the 5D Mark III, such as its 20.2 megapixel CMOS sensor and DIGIC 5+ processor, its 100-25600 native ISO range, and its respectable 4.5 fps burst rate.

New from Olympus: The PEN E-P5, VF-4 Viewfinder and Three Black Fixed Lenses

Olympus has just announced the new E-P5, the fourth generation of their popular PEN series of interchangeable lens mirrorless Micro Four Thirds camera bodies, which features an eye-catching, retro design that’s reminiscent of the original PEN F series from the 1960s and '70s.

The New, Diminutive Sony Cyber-shot HX50V Digital Camera

Sony has announced a new long zoom, high-performance point-and-shoot camera: the Cyber-shot HX50V Digital Camera. With a 20.4MP BSI Exmor R CMOS sensor and the BIONZ Image Processor, sharp imagery, low-light sensitivity, quick performance, and fast autofocus speeds are part and parcel.

Hands-On Review: the Canon EOS Rebel SL1

Canon Rebel DSLRs have always been impressively smaller than the competition, going back to their original film models. Canon’s EOS Rebel SL1 doesn’t disappoint in the size department, either. If anything, the EOS SL1 elicited variations of “Whoa,” “Wow,” “Jeeeeez,” and “Is that really a DSLR?”
