Panasonic has jumped out of the gates at CES and announced several new point-and-shoot digital cameras as well as a very fast portrait length Leica lens for Lumix Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras. The point-and-shoots include advanced compacts, long zooms and entry-level models.
Fujifilm has announced an addition to its X-mount line of lenses for the APS-C format X series mirrorless cameras. The Fujinon XF 23mm f/1.4 R lens is a fast prime with a maximum aperture of f/1.4 and a 35mm equivalent focal length of 35mm.

Olympus has just announced the new E-P5, the fourth generation of their popular PEN series of interchangeable lens mirrorless Micro Four Thirds camera bodies, which features an eye-catching, retro design that’s reminiscent of the original PEN F series from the 1960s and '70s.

Sony has announced two new Alpha E-mount lenses for their NEX series of digital mirrorless cameras. The first is the Alpha E-mount 20mm f/2.8 prime lens which makes it, along with the 16mm f/2.8 lens, their second wide-angle prime lens for the NEX system. The other lens introduced today is the Alpha E-mount 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 PZ OSS Lens.
Sigma has announced a new 35mm f/1.4 prime lens for DSLR cameras. A wide-angle lens with a fast maximum aperture, it’s available for Nikon, Canon, Pentax, Sony and Sigma Autofocus mounts. With this lens, Sigma is inaugurating a new line of interchangeable lenses: the Art line.
