Hi! I bought this mic (Rode VideoMic with Rycote Lyre Suspension System) a while ago (less than a year) for my company to use at conferences. We are using it with the Canon EOS Rebel T3i 18 MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera and DIGIC 4 Imaging with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens. We are a textbook publisher and wanted to use the camera and microphone to record testimonials from our customers who use and love our textbook. We have a booth that we record the testimonials in, but there is a lot of background noise from the conference. We can't seem to get good quality audio, unfortunately. I know this is a good microphone and our camera is good so I'm just wondering if there's something we're missing, something we're not doing correctly. Do you have any tips or pointers you could offer? We are in publishing, not photgraphy or videography so we're fairly novice with the equipment. Any help you can offer is appreciated.
Thank you!
