Hands-On Review: Toshiba KIRAbook Computers

Share

Toshiba presents the all-new KIRAbook™. With an outstanding high-resolution display, productive software and excellent service (including a two-year warranty with 24/7 support), this may be the Ultrabook to beat this year for style, power and ease of use.

Each KIRAbook features a 13.3-inch diagonal, ultra-high 2560x1440 resolution PixelPure display in both capactive touchscreen and non-touchscreen versions. This 10-point multitouch capability enhances the operating system experience and will totally immerse the user in all of the Windows 8 functionality.

The screens are constructed with Corning Concore Glass for even better protection against scratch damage. The body is constructed of AZ91 pressed-magnesium alloy, and the interior honeycomb design of the KIRAbook frame allows for lighter weight and enhanced durability.

KIRAbooks are offered in Intel® Core™ i5 and Core i7 processor configurations with all models featuring 8GB of high-speed RAM and include an internal 256GB solid-state drive for even faster access to your data. Included with each purchase are Adobe Premiere and Photoshop Elements, two years of Norton Internet Security Software, Anti-Theft and Online Backup.

The laptops each feature a 13.3", ultra-high-resolution 2560 x 1440 screen, and the displays on the KIRA i7 and the touchscreen version of the KIRA i5 are 10-point multi-touch screens for added and enhanced Windows 8 functionality. The sleek bodies are constructed of AZ91 magnesium alloy for strength.
