New HP Touchsmart 610-1030f and 610-1050f All-in-One Touchscreen Desktop Computers

HP has introduced a new pair of wireless, touchscreen "All-in-One" computers to its desktop computer line-up. The base model, the HP TouchSmart 610-1030f, features a 23" HP Multi-Touch Widescreen LCD with 1080p resolving power, LED backlighting, 4GB (2x2GB) RAM, a 750GB 720 rpm hard drive, a 3.2 GHz Intel Core i3-550 dual-core CPU, a SuperMulti DVD burner, Intel GMA HD Graphics, an integrated webcam and microphone, Bluetooth connectivity, 802.11n Wi-Fi, and Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit).

For those requiring a bit more horsepower and high-end performance, HP has also introduced the TouchSmart 610-1050f, which boasts a 1TB 7200 rpm hard drive, an Intel Core i5-650 dual-core CPU, Blu-ray ROM with SuperMulti DVD burning and an HDTV tuner. The HP TouchSmart 610-1050f's  i5-650 processor can also be over-clocked to 3.46 GHz via Intel Turbo Boost.

Performance levels aside, both models feature intuitive touch-screen technologies that allow you to pinch, rotate, arc, flick, press, drop and drag through your desktop chores with fingertip control. Other touch-based applications bundled with both models include Corel Paint It! and Roxio Cinema Now. You can also access Hulu, Netflix and Twitter, Facebook, SnapFish, YouTube and HP's TouchSmart Recipe Box.

Having the ability to run multiple apps simultaneously, both new TouchSmart All-in-Ones allow you to quickly and easily manage text, photos, video, import and export recipes, not to mention sort and edit still photographs and video, as well as burn DVDs of your final results for sharing and archiving needs.

Using HP LinkUp, you can also access programs, apps, and other content from other laptops, CPUs, or similar wireless devices within your home or office network.

On the design front, the LCD monitors on both models feature a glossy, piano-black finish with chrome accents, a 23" (16:9) viewing area, a wireless keyboard and mouse, a 6-in-1 card reader, integrated stereo speakers, internal antennae for 802.11n wireless LAN and a single cable for clutter-free hookup. Needless to say, having the ability to run the show with your fingertips as you would an iPhone or iPad is rather cool, all by itself.

In addition to a small footprint, the monitors on both models can be tilted 5-degrees foreword and 60-degrees backwards in order to reduce glare and optimize the viewing angle, as well as position the screen at an an angle that can reduce the risk of carpal tunnel syndrome.
