PhotoPlus 2013: The Android-Powered Galaxy NX Mirrorless Camera

Share

Samsung combined the DSLR and tablet experiences with the Galaxy NX. For tablet use, it features a 4.8" touchscreen display and a 1.4GHz quad-core processor running on top of Android 4.2. Samsung says an upgrade to Android 4.3 is likely, but the details haven't been finalized yet. The Galaxy NX gives you full access to the Google Play Store, comes equipped with built-in WiFi, and supports GSM LTE.

The camera features a 20.3MP CMOS Sensor, and the mount accommodates Samsung's removable lenses. The Galaxy NX features an ISO range of 100-32000, full manual focus, and 8.6 fps. There's a built-in pop-up flash, but there's no need to keep your external flashes at home, as the Galaxy NX also has a hot shoe adapter plate.

Samsung showed video captured by the Galaxy NX shot in 1080p at 60 fps on their large LCD displays.
