I am an amateur photographer who recently decided to get a little more serious about my photos and purchased my first DSLR (Canon T2i). I spoke about this decision extensively with a close friend that has been a professional photographer for several years. He immediately suggested that I purchase through B&H because the selection and service were unmatched. I couldn't agree more! The website is so easy to use and I have already made 5 different orders, each of which was the best price around and really fast shipping.

My friend also pointed me to get a Sigma lens to start off, rather than the kit lens my camera would have come with.  I'm using the Sigma 18-50mm f2.8-f4.5 OS HSM and have had great results so far.  Faster lens for the same price as what the kit lense would have cost? Sign me up!

As I continue to improve on my photography skills and purchase better lenses, I will definitely be going straight back to B&H and doing a search for more Sigma lenses. Nothing but great experiences with both.

same Doherty said :-)

I've heard many great things about the quality and clarity of Sigma lenses, but do not currently own any.  (Poor college graduate, trying to pay off loans).  This would be a great Sigma lens to add to my small collection of lenses.

I have used Nikon for many years but have used Sigma lenses on occassion borrowed from other photographers and have found the Sigma to be just as reliable and sharp as my Nikon lenses, plus they usually seem to be more affordable. The 1.4 would be a great lens to have on hand and you can clearly see how much sharper and faster it is than the 1.8. Would love to have this to call my own!

B&H and Sigma lenses are awesome because they're going to give me a Sigma 50mm F1.4 EX DG HSM Lens!

B & H and Sigma lenses are the best things since....sliced bagels.

I've been a B&H customer for 20 years, and rarely shop anywhere else for photo supplies and equipment. I've heard great things about Sigma lenses, and would love to try one!

First, B&H is the ONLY place I go when I need to buy equipment. I just ordered a large amount of equipment to upgrade our remote studio from them, but even small and personal orders, I would look no where else than B&H. Theire customer service is incredible, and their prices are unbeatable. My quotes arrive within minutes of my e-mail, and that is very pleasing. I love B&H, and one of my life goals is to visit their store front in NYC!

Now, Sigma lenses are the the highest quality lenses I have used. I am rough on my equipment due to various shooting enviornments, and they always stand up to my demands. A good camera is nothing without good glass, and as the picture above as proof, sogma lenses are a perfect companion to any camera.

I love both B&H and Sigma lenses, and I have recomended both to many friends.

I would love the lens - I just started on a 5d mark ii professionally and could certainly expand my gear.

I love low light sigma lens 30mm&50mm .. perfect for shooting gigs in the darks ! :)

B&H and Sigma are awesome because both provide high quality equipment at affordable prices.

I've heard a lot of great things about the Sigma fast primes, would love to have this 50 to replace my old 50 f/1.8!

I like both Sigma and B&H on FB! I don't have a Sigma lens yet, but have heard they are awesome :)  I have purchased from B&H and have to say that you all are the best.  I made sure and waited until you have the D7000 in stock so that I could buy it from you!!  Thanks!!

B&H is wonderful and Sigma lenses are the cat's meow. I can't wait to win this lens! :)

3 years ago I decided to get more serious about my photography... I bought my first DSLR through B&H (Canon 40D) & my 2 sigma lenses as well!! I have the sigma 18-50mm & 70-300mm APO DG Macro & love them both!!  Very satisfied with B&H and recommend them to everyone when it comes to buying photography equipment!

I LOVE B&H!! I have been buying things from them for the past couple of years now and I just love coming back to them. I have never had any type of trouble or problems, they've always been there to answer any type of questions I need. B&H has the best deals around. They are faithful and trustworthy.

And Sigma lenses are great. I've got a Canon DLSR and I have used a Sigma lens on it and they work quite nicely. They are crisp and clear. I would love to try out more of the Sigma lenses one day.

B&H is awesome because they ship fast, have fair prices, and offer us an honorable return policy. I have never, ever had a problem with them and I probably never will.

Sigma is awesome because they offer affordable, high-grade lenses. It is truly great to have an 'alternative' that is of such consistently high quality.

Thanks to both Sigma and B&H - keep being awesome!!!

I own the Simga 150-500mm for Nikon and I love it. This lens has allowed me to capture images I never thought possible with any other lens. I would love to add the Sigma 50mm 1.4 to my bag of tricks.

B&H is great- customer service, fast shipping, you name it, they are the best place to shop for gear! I can't brag on Sigma lenses, because as of yet, I don't have any! Maybe this giveaway will change that. :)

I'm following both on twitter!

I have always heard great things about these lenses.  I'm starting out my photography business and this would be a great asset.  I'm on a very small budget so winning this lens would be perfect!  I've been searching for a lens like this for a long time now.

I would also like to say that I LOVE B&H! I have bought from them several times for my school requirements and they have always been wonderful, with great pricing.  I highly recommend them to anyone looking for photo equipment.

B&H has the BEST customer service and selection around.

My Sigma 70mm-200mm f/2.8 is still my favourite lens.

You are always my go-to people when purchasing camera equipment and accessories.  I have been saving up for a 50mm 1.4 for my Nikon D90.  As a part time photographer, saving can be hard.  So winning this would be such a blessing.  Thanks again, Tina

I've always read great things about Sigma lenses but haven't had the opportunity to own one yet. I would love to get to play with one!

B&H is awesome. It's like a giant toy store for technology geeks.

B&H definitely raises the bar with their customer service and excellent selection!  I recently upgraded from a Canon 40D to a 5D Mark II which left me with only one lens so now I'm shopping for new lenses.  B&H and Sigma are on the top of my shopping list!

I enjoy B&H and Sigma because their contest will hopefully provide me with a lens to improve my photography! Plus, girls dig guys with new lenses. Or at least my mom tells me.

Im a photographer that has been slowly trying to build my portfolio. I am in desperate need to upgrade my 50mm Lens. This would help me to invest in other things that i buy at B&H :) And sigma is great!

B&H is the only place to satisfy my photography needs. Ever since i started bying from B&H i have never had any problems. I especially enjoy the EDU Advantage membership, i have saved a good amount of cash; being a college student, this program is a life saver. Sigma lenses are awesome at a great price!! I have had experience using a number of third party lenses on my 5D and i have got to say that Sigma Lenses have been one of the most sharp third party lenses out there! It would be awesome to finally have a fast Sigma lens to call my own!

B&H and Sigma are great!!  Providing quality & affordability.  In building a photography business, the 50mm/1.4 is a necessity especially with small children!

B&H is just awesome, because they have everything, their prices are better than the local camera stores, and customer service is great.  Sigma is great, because they have contests to give away lenses that I need (or at least want really bad)!  I don't own a Sigma lens, but if I win one, I promise to give it accolades!

I've had such an amazing experience buying from BH (Bought both my D700, my 24-70, and other misc. items from them over the last 6 months) and have loved every Sigma lens I've ever tried.  Can't wait to see who wins this contest!

I really like Sigma lenses. I have used a few rented ones on my Canon and they work great! No complaints I would love to officially own a Sigma and add this little guy to my equipment. It would be a perfect addition as a wedding photography go-to lens! Thanks B&H!

Sigma makes the best prime lenses, and B&H sells them at the best prices.

ive ordered a  few things from b & h before and they do not dissapoint. shipping was fast and item was perfect. i also have always been a fan of sigma, despite what a few of my friends have said about it. it would be nice to upgrade from my current  nifty fifty to something a bit faster.

I've purchased numerous things from B&H over the past couple of years, from film to paper and more. B&H is a great company to deal with, they have a fast delivery time and great customer service.

I've recently been looking for a new lens, specifically a 50mm. I would love to add the Sigma 1.4 50mm lens to my collection, so I can get great results at my sessions and events.

Looking forward to dealing with B&H & Sigma in the future.

I shoot the Sigma 70-200mm and the Sigma 18-50mm professionally and have been very happy with the two lenses. The Sigma 50mm 1.4 is supposed to be amazing. I would be happy to give it a home in my camera bag. I have a spot all picked out!

Love B&H because they have everything I need and everything I wish I could afford and also at great prices.

And I love Sigma lenses because they give you more for your hard earned money. I have a 30mm 1.4 and the 17-50mm 2.8 and absolutely love both of those lenses. The 50mm 1.4 and the 70-200 2.8 are on my wish list :)

b&h because you guys carry a great range of equiptment and even a great selection of film. The websites easy to use and ive NEVER had any problems with orders. sigma; because of their excelent, crisp quality and reasonable prices. Definently something i would like to use more of.

When I saw this giveaway, I just had to sign up. I have rented the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 for my Canon 5D and EOS-1 film camera several times and it is an INCREDIBLE lens. Shooting wide open on a 50mm is a must for my work and the Sigma is the only 50mm I've found to be sharp with beautiful fall-off.

I am currently putting back money for another trip to Africa to continue my documentary/non-profit work, so funds have been too tight to purchase this wonderful lens. For available light in many of the village scenarios I have found myself in, this lens would be the greatest help.

In my opinion, there isn't a better 50mm out there for the Canon system, especially in this price range. Bravo Sigma and please help me to continue my work overseas.

B&H is quite simply the best place on the web to shop for photography equipment and supplies.  Excellent customer service, speedy shipping, and great selection!

I've only been shooting for a few months now, so my current gear doesn't include a Sigma lens...hopefully that will change soon!

I already liked and followed B&H and now I also "like" Sigma.  I love B&H for their extensive selection, their incredibly quick delivery, their low prices, and the vast number of reviews on each item. I don't shop anywhere else for camera equipment.

I look forward to being able to review a Sigma lens. :)

I have been a loyal B&H customer for the better part of a decade. Whenever a family member is at a loss for an idea for a gift for me, a B&H gift card is the go-to choice. The best customer service in the business.

I started using Sigma lenses in 2004 when I purchased the 70-200 f2.8 after a mishap rendered my canon version inoperable and I didn't have the money to replace it before covering the Democratic National Convention. I "settled" for the Sigma version and found it to be a fantastic piece of glass. 7 years later it is still in my bag or on one of my bodies every day. The build and quality of the optics makes Sigma one of the only off-brand manufacturers I will consider.

I have 2 Sigma lenses- 10-20mm 5.6 and 70-200mm 2.8. They are just as sharp as my Canon lenses and much more affordable.  I would love to add his lens to my collection!

B&H and Sigma, how can I even begin to stroke your egos? This would be Sigma's easiest opportunity to help prove that the 50 1.4 is the 'swap your ride' choice over the Nikon 1.4. B&H is the Mike Rowe of this 'swap your lens' event. The best part, and unlike those commercials, is I would be lucky enough to keep the Sigma lens when it's all said and done! It's a win-win-win. :)

I bought my first DSLR from B&H and exclusively order my camera accessories from them because they have both the best selection and best service around. A photographer friend introduced me to Sigma lenses and from the very first I slipped on to my camera, I've been a fan! I would love to add this lens to my collection.

I am following both B&H and Sigma on twitter! (@LostNCheeseland)

Sorry for the double post, forgot to log in before posting the first time.

B&H has great prices and B&H insights publishes some great articles, inspiring and informative. I got a sigma lens with my first digital SLR and still use it often, great lenses, great products, great prices, great service...

Love B&H service and my 3 Sigma lenses !

 Followed on Twitter.

I've used other Sigma lens for a while now and love the quality.  When I need new equipment B&H is where I go first for reviews and my wife is terrified every time I get one of your catalogs.

B&H Rocks ! I ordered my first DSLR from B&H and quickly received my shipment of the best deal on the web. B&H 's price was actually better than less than trustowrthy ebay posts ! Having heard about their excellent service and reputation, I din't think twice before ordering, and they did not disappoint ! Best price, great service and communication, it even arrived faster than expected. This is an A+ one stop shop for all of your imaging needs.

After getting comfortable with a DSLR, I needed to add on to my kit lens and started asking friends about their glass. A friend swore by Sigma, so I tried his out. I was blown away by the image quality improvement over what I had played with and quickly picked up a 70-300 APO DG Macro. I still have not seen anything even comparable to it in this price range. When I show my macro work, people can't believe what this lens costs. I have triplets and my photography has to stay on a tight budget. You simply cannot find sharper, faster glass for this price! I regularly borrow a Sigma 10-20mm , 20mm,  30mm and even this exact 50mm1.4. I had planned for my next pick up to be the 10-20mm. What a Father's Day gift this 50mm 1.4 would make ! Even if not, I'm sold on Sigma.
