One of the fun aspects of photography—once you’ve learned how to use all the bells and whistles with which your camera is bedecked—is to push beyond the borders of what you already know about taking pictures. The e-filming 360 Digital Drive Panorama Base/PS-30B allows you to literally go beyond the borders of your camera’s native aspect ratio by enabling you to capture panoramic photographs of up to 360°.

In addition to 360-degree circuit shots, the e-filming 360 Digital Drive Panorama Base/PS-30B includes a calibrated right-angle arm that enables you to take 360-degree omnidirectional photographs that capture everything around, above, and below your camera position. Once the individual image files are stitched together using the included software or Photoshop, you can pan across the frame as well as zoom in for greater detail of the surroundings. For shooting landscapes, interiors and any number of technical and industrial applications, the e-filming 360 Digital Drive Panorama Base/PS-30B can be an invaluable tool.

Usable with any (D)SLR you may own, the e-filming 360 Digital Drive Panorama Base/PS-30B can be set up and put to use, without much head scratching on the user’s part, using the menus displayed on the PS-30B’s control base. As for optics, the optimal focal length for shooting panorama photos is slightly wider than normal (about 40mm for full-frame cameras and about 27 or 28mm for APS-C format cameras).

Note:  Depending on your magnification needs, you can also shoot with wider or longer focal lengths, but be advised longer focal lengths require more individual image files, which means correspondingly larger file sizes.

In addition to shooting panorama photographs, the e-filming 360 Digital Drive Panorama Base/PS-30B can also be used to capture 360-degree views of small objects. Instead of mounting your camera on the Panorama Base/PS-30B, you can place the object you want to photograph on the top plate and use the base as a turntable. The degree and speed of rotation can be programmed into the device or controlled using the included remote control.

The e-filming 360 Digital Drive Panorama Base/PS-30B is constructed of a combination of polycarbonate and aluminum alloy, weighs 2.4 lb (1.1 kg), measures 5.74 x 3.62 x 3.64” (146 x 92 x 92.5mm) and is powered by four AA batteries.
