Zooming in to B&H: Leica V-Lux 30 Super Zoom Digicam


Coming this June is the Leica V-Lux 30, a handsomely understated pocket camera featuring a 14.1MP (1/2.33”) CMOS imaging sensor, a 16x, MEGA O.I.S. image stabilized Leica DC Vario-Elmar 4.3 to 68.8mm f/3.3-5.9 ASPH (24 to 384mm equivalent) zoom lens, featuring six aspheric surfaces on 3-out-of-12 elements and a 460,000-dot 3.0” touch-screen LCD.

Other features found in and around the Leica V-Lux 30 include built-in GPS, on-demand manual controls, 10 fps continuous shooting at full resolution (and up to 60 fps at lower resolutions), a new 3D-emulation mode (MPO format), and 1080i-AVCHD Full HD video capture with stereo sound.

In addition to the sexy red Leica badge that rides atop the front of the camera’s grip, the Leica V-Lux 30 includes a copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 and Adobe Premier Elements 9.
