[bc:4272182071001:960:540]

In the following video, Allan Weitz welcomes the Leica M Monochrom (Typ 246), a 24MP full-frame black-and-white digital rangefinder camera with numerous updates over its predecessor. The video covers the benefits of the purely black-and-white CMOS sensor, with its omission of a color filter array and optical low pass filter, as well as the performance enhancements provided by the latest Maestro image processor. Weitz also discusses the wide ISO range of 320-25,000, the 3" 921k-dot LCD screen with sapphire glass cover, the large 2GB buffer, and the ability to record full HD 1080p video at 24 or 25 fps. Finally, the camera’s German heritage and manufacturing is mentioned, with its heavy-duty brass, magnesium-alloy construction, and classic design. We hope you enjoy the video, and invite you to view the wide selection of other instructional and informative videos at BandH.com.
