Share

Taking advantage of the advanced High Definition video capabilities of its DSLRs, Canon has just announced Video Creator Kits for theT6i, T5i, and 70D that feature the APS-C camera with zoom lens, the RØDE VideoMic GO On-Camera Shotgun Microphone, and a Class 10 Sandisk 32GB SDHC memory card. Each camera can record Full HD 1080p video at up to 30 fps and features a 3.0" vari-angle touchscreen to assist with composition. Separating itself is the 70D, with Dual Pixel CMOS AF for enhanced autofocus performance during video and live view and a longer EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM Lens, compared to the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM Lenses included with the T5i and T6i.

The RØDE VideoMic GO is a lightweight shoe-mounted microphone that plugs directly into the camera’s 3.5mm input. It provides improved audio recording with a directional supercardioid polar pattern that helps eliminate excess noise coming from the sides of the camera. This will produce a clearer signal than the camera’s built-in mic when shooting in noisy environments or at longer distances. This mic also comes equipped with a Rycote Lyre shockmount that limits interference from handling and movement. Additionally, the Class 10 Sandisk 32GB SD card is certified to handle data rates of 10MB/s, high enough to ensure video recording will not be interrupted.
