    Excellent !

When will it be available for Pre-Order!

We are accepting pre=orders for the Ninja Star here.

The Shogun is due later in the year. Pre-orders will be up once we know when it will start shipping.

I am puzzled at Atomos' logic in using CFAST cards for the Ninja Star.

I have spent days trying to find a source of high-capacity CFAST 1.0 cards and could not find a single one!

Of course, there are version 2.0 cards available - like the one in this video clip - but they cost more than 3 times as much as the Ninja Star itself.

I can see why quadcopter users might be willing to spend $1000 dollars on a Ninja Star and card but, why would anybody else do so when they can by a Ninja 2 and SSD/HDD for far less than that?

The Ninja Star is made as a device to solve a problem really. It is a small size, low weight item. The normal Ninja will still be primarily used when size is not an issue but for times (like on a quadcopter) when weight is a consideration, that is where the Ninja Star shows it's value.

Great!  Would it work with the Panasonic GH3? Or just the GH4?

You can use both the Atomos Shogun and Ninja Star with any camera that has a clean HDMI output, so you could use them with the GH3.
