In the following video, Mia McCormick, from KelbyOne, discusses how to bring consistent color to your photos and video using the portable Datcolor SpyderCHECKR 24 color calibration system. The video highlights using the 24 spectrally designed pigment patches on the SpyderCHECKR color card to match color between shots, scenes, and cameras, as well as using the gray scale on the reverse side to adjust white balance and exposure. McCormick also showcases the SpyderCHECKR software, what it is compatible with, and how to use it in conjunction with the color card to create presets for quick color matching. We hope you enjoy the video, and invite you to view the wide selection of other instructional and informative videos at B&H.com.

Hello B&H,

I am looking for a color corrector that is a good price for my video editing and this fits the book. However I understand that the color grading software works more for Davinci Resolve than the software I use. Will manually targeting the colors in Sony Vegas Pro 12 cause massive color changes compared to using the softarew supplied or is there a way to have the color grading software to work for Vegas Pro? Thanks.

~Nicholas

Unfortunately it is not compatible to be used within Sony Vegas. For accurate grading in Vegas you would need to invest in an external calibrated video production monitor.
