Hands-On Review: the Petrol Bags Liteporter
The Liteporter from Petrol Bags is a carrying case that was built for transporting a 1 x 1 Litepanels LED instrument or other comparably sized lights or equipment. It features extra space for key accessories like a detachable mounting yoke, an AC power supply, a large battery, as well as color conversion and diffusion gels.
Your 1 x 1 gels fit into a protected, zippered pocket on the underside of the lid, to help keep them flat and intact. The lid has another nice feature: two straps on either side of it keep it from folding all the way back, so the bag will stay propped open while you’re using it. The straps are connected by hook-and-loop fasteners, so their anchoring positions can be adjusted, or they can be detached. The Liteporter has a semi-hard construction, and it’s built with tough, water-resistant 900D polyester and ballistic nylon with a low-profile black exterior. The interior features soft brushed fabric that protects your equipment, and its bright orange color helps you see the gear inside your bag.
