New MuxLab Digital AV Connectivity Solutions
Canadian manufacturer MuxLab offers a lineup of matrix switches, receivers, and splitters featuring, among them, HDBaseT technology, modular I/O support, 2K/4K resolution support, and Power-over-Ethernet.
Most sophisticated of the group is the 16x16 Matrix Switch Chassis, a 5RU modular switcher in a sleek, aluminum housing. It supports four 4-port HDMI, DVI, 3G-SDI, and VGA input cards and four 4-port HDMI, HDBaseT, and Fiber (also available in 2-port) output cards, all hot-swappable, and it transmits up to 1080p60/50 resolution for up to 230 feet via HDBaseT outputs to compatible receivers. Matrixes can be designated in 4 x 4, 4 x 8, 4 x 16, 8 x 4, 8 x 8, 8 x 16, 16 x 4, 16 x 8, 16 x 12, and 16 x 16 configurations and managed via the front panel, RS-232, USB, or web-server interface. The switcher also supports third-party control drivers, including Control4 home automation and commercial A/V systems.
For smaller configurations, MuxLab has released the HDMI 4 x 4 Matrix Switch HDBaseT, featuring a desktop/1RU rackmount design and supporting resolutions up to Ultra HD 4K (3840 x 2160). It transmits 4K up to 115 feet and 1080p60/50 up to 230 feet, and also passes Power-over-Ethernet to compatible receivers. It can be controlled via the front panel, RS-232, USB, and web-server interface, and by the included IR remote control. Soon to be launched are the HDMI 4 x 8 and 8 x 8 switchers.
For the output end, MuxLab has introduced two compact HDMI / RS-232 Receivers, both supporting HDBaseT, Ultra HD 4K video, and 3D video, and one that's Power-over-Ethernet compatible. For multiplying your outputs, MuxLab offers a 1 x 4 HDMI Splitter supporting up to Ultra HD 4K video, 3D video, and high-quality audio.
For owners of earlier MuxLab devices, MuxLab has the Surface Mount Transceiver Plate, a bracket that lets you mount select models on a wall or furniture surface, front or rear facing. The plate supports all models measuring 4.5 x 3 x 1.25" (such as model 500417) and its mounting ears are positioned so that you can mount multiple units neatly beside one another.
All MuxLab products are designed and engineered in Canada and are put through both internal and third-party QA testing. MuxLab’s Digital AV products are your solution for reliable Digital AV switching and extension.
