SOFT FOCUS and MIST FILTERS

BLACK DIFFUSION FX:

Produces the most advanced soft focus effect ever developed by Tiffen. Creates a silky smooth softened image very subtly, unlike other soft focus filters. And does so without sacrificing image clarity. Eliminates unwanted details without being dull or "fuzzy". Makes it hard to tell a filter is being used. Minimizes lighting flare. Available in densities 1/2, 1 to 5. (BDFX Kit #3 and #5)

Light Loss:

SOFT FX:

Tiny "lenslets" in the filter put fine image elements, such as wrinkles and skin blemishes, out of focus, while leaving larger details, such as the eyes, sharp. Offers a greater softening effect than Black Diffusion FX. Some flare may result under certain lighting conditions. Densities 1-2 create a lesser effect, 4-5 create a stronger effect with "dream like" images. Available in "Neutral Tone" and "Warm Tone." The Warm Tone contains a Tiffen Warm 812 effect to create warm, soft focus images. Available in densities 1to 5.

Light Loss:

PRO MIST:

Creates a mist effect while also softening harsh contrast by lightening shadow areas. Mutes colors for exquisite pastel tones. Generates a pearlescent halo around highlights. Maintains focus. Densities ½ and 1 create a minimal, yet pleasing, effect. Also available in "Warm Pro Mist" which provides the same effect plus the warming effect of a Warm 812 filter. The result is a warm mist effect. Excellent for natural light/high key portraiture. Available in densities 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1 to 3.

Light Loss:

BLACK PRO MIST:

Creates an effect similar to the Pro Mist, but minimizes highlight flare. Contrast is reduced by the toning down of highlights. Black Pro Mist 1 creates a "Film Look" in video. Also available in "Warm Black Pro Mist" which adds a Tiffen Warm 812. Available in densities 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1 to 3.
